After more than 30 years of service at The Beeches Nursing Home, I have developed extensive experience across a wide range of roles. I began working part-time while raising my two children, who are now grown with families of their own. Over the years, I have progressed through positions that include weekend staff, night duty, Training Manager, Deputy Manager, and eventually Registered Manager. I love forging a relationship with residents and working alongside the team to create a positive and rewarding environment within the home.
I completed my nursing training in Scotland at a specialist burns hospital located between Edinburgh and Glasgow. In 1983, I moved to Worthing with my husband and continued my nursing career in a variety of settings, including Central Clinic, Southlands Hospital, and several local nursing homes, before arriving at The Beeches.
I am immensely proud of my profession and grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. It’s a privilege to support the unique needs of each resident while creating a warm, welcoming, and family-centred atmosphere.
