Nirmal Chahal

I am a director and shareholder for The Beeches Care Group. I am responsible for overseeing the finance operation for Beeches and handling financial matters. In my earlier career, I obtained a PhD in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Imperial College, London and worked as a Scientist for a number of organisations before retraining as a Chartered Accountant. I worked for PWC as an auditor, and subsequently joined Royal Brompton Hospital, where I worked for 20 years as a Finance Director for the hospital’s charity division. I have now been working in the Healthcare Sector for 30+ years.

Both Jas and I decided to fulfil our long-held wish to become involved in the provision of healthcare. We purchased our family-owned care home, Highgrove House, in 2017, and then acquired Byway House in 2019, followed by The Beeches Nursing Home in 2023.
